This session will highlight the importance and use of the HERS® Index in Freddie Mac’s single-family green products, including both green mortgages and green bonds. We plan to discuss the challenges we are facing as well as the opportunities in these areas, using the session as a call to action for builders and lenders, stressing the importance of their role in creating standardization and salability in this market. We could also discuss the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) Redesign and the inclusion of energy efficiency rating information in the future.
